The Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP), managed by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), is designed to enhance the accessibility of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Canada.
This initiative supports the deployment of both Public & Private EV Chargers.
CURRENT PROGRAM
TOTAL VALUE – $120 Million
SUBMISSION DATE – September 19, 2024
For accepted ZEVIP projects, NRCan offers up to 50% of Total Project Costs. Eligible expenses covered under the program include site design, project management, EV chargers, installation costs, licenses/permits, and other direct deployment costs.
Maximum Funding per Charger Type:
- Level 2 Charger (3.3 kW to 19.2 kW) $ 5,000 per port
- DC Fast Charger (20 kW to 49 kW) $ 15,000 per charger
- DC Fast Charger (50 kW to 99 kW) $ 50,000 per charger
- DC Fast Charger (100 kW to 199 kW) $ 75,000 per charger
- DC Fast Charger (200 kW and above) $100,000 per charger
Energize Ontario facilitates connections with EVIPT-trained Electrical Contractors who possess specialized expertise crucial for successful grant applications. This training, exclusively provided by NETCO (National Electrical Trade Council), enhances eligibility and maximizes the chances of securing funding. NETCO also offers complimentary grant application services for projects employing our contractors.
Building Owners, Developers, Retail Outlets, Box Stores, and other interested parties are invited to partner with ENERGIZE ONTARIO.
